What is on my Nightstand? January 2013

Things have been really busy of late in a good way! I am writing book reviews on Two Little Cavaliers and loving it. This means there is a lot more animal stories and books on the ole night stand. So without further ado, here is the list.

I have read this month:

The Gordonston Ladies Dog Walking Club- By Duncan Whitehead- This would make a great television show or cable series. You will definitely catch all the different influences from television and you will have to catch my review on Two Little Cavaliers when it goes live.

Highland Blessings- Jennifer Hudson Taylor- Kindle edition- Standard Highland Romance with family feud, sword fighting, and a nice dose of relationship issues sprinkled with faith. Sweet story...but could have been better.

Being Gorgeous-50 of the best homemade beauty treatments to save you money- By Lorraine M. Harding- Most of the ingredients you have in your pantry can help you save money while still pampering yourself. Recipes are easy to follow and do not require special equipment.

The Cat Who Came Back for Christmas- Julia Romp- Touching story about a cat who changes a little boy with autism and his mother's life. You can read my review on Two Little Cavaliers here.

DIY Herbal Spa Learn How to Make Organic Aromatherapy bath products at home: Michaela Wirtz- Interesting book from a former aromatherapy artisan.  She lost her sense of smell in an accident and is now devoted to teaching students how to make their own products. Recipes included. Love the lotion and bath salts recipes.

The Hostage by Jonas Saul- Book 4 of the Sarah Roberts series. Story is fast paced. The bad guy is creepy. Wish I had read book 1,2,3 first.

Have you seen Her? by Rich Silvers- I liked this book in spite of myself. A story about a husband who loses his wife only to discover that she gave a daughter up for adoption years ago who is now missing. Lots of twists and turns.

Wait for Me by Elizabeth Naughton- Wow! Lost love, lost memory, conspiracy, family reunited, happy ending? perhaps....

Reading:

Royal Princes of Ruthenia by Jennifer Blake

To Read:

Secondhand Horses- by Lauraine Snelling and Kathleen Damp Wright- YA title

The Cat Whisperer-  by Mieshelle Nagelschneider

Dog Quotes- by Amy Morford

Lulu and the Dog from the Sea- Hilary McKay
