Tinkertown- A Folk Art dream

How I love a grand adventure with two of my three favorite guys. My husband took me and the little man to Tinkertown in Sandia Park, NM. One man's hobby, life, and passions all on display. My favorite quote at the beginning of the museum is that," I did all this while you were watching television." Ross Ward was a self taught artist, a show painter at carnivals, and a person devoted to independence and self reliance. Tinkertown was not meant to be a museum or public display but with all the public interest it has developed into one of the best small museums in the US or so says one sign. Tinkertown is open April- November and it will definitely make you smile. It is appropriate for all ages. I enjoyed the general store too....nothing like a miniature rubber chicken for sale.
