Just wanted to let you know about a great event benefitting the Rio Rancho Art Association this summer. Here are the details:

And dear readers, you know that I am opinionated.

Summer Fun Reading Book 1- The Accidental Demon Slayer by Angie Fox

 Lizzie Brown is a preschool teacher at the Happy Hands Preschool and is about to turn thirty. Her life's excitement to date is color-coding her shopping list and coupons. Then, wham bam, her Grandma Gertie arrives just as she comes into her magical powers the moment she turns thirty as the heriditary Demon Slayer of her family line. She has a demon appear out of her toilet and when he shoots green, glowing, pointy thingys at her she catches them and tosses them back at him sending him back to Hell. Gramma Gertie is a witch whose coven is the Red Skulls.....think Red Hat Society but with a biker twist. This adventuresome takes off as fast as Gramma's Harley and does not slow down for a second. Everyone is out to get Lizzie from the fifth level demon who wants to break out of hell to werewolves and all Lizzie wants back is her life which she fears will never be "normal" again.
There are powers to learn, Universal Slayer Truths to accept, moments with roadkill, a Gryffin, and now she can hear Pirate, her dog talking....nope, sounds like normal will never be normal again.

So for a Summer Fun Read, I give this book a resounding two thumbs up and two paws from my snuggly reading partner. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
